YOUR THOUGHTS TAKE YOU WHERE?

January 2020

I’m mesmerized by water.  I’m fascinated by the flow of a stream or river.  Why doesn’t it ever just stop?  How does it just keep flowing on by?  When you stop and think about how life works, it leads us somewhere. There’s a verse in Ecclesiastes 1:7 that reads, All streams run to the sea, but the sea is not full; to the place where the streams flow, there they flow again. Romans 1:19 shares, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them.  For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understand through what has been made so that they are without excuse.  The they is us.  We, us, are without excuse.  Can made it so.  Put these two thoughts together with Psalm 19:1-4, The heavens are telling of the glory of God; and their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.  Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.  There is no speech, nor are there words; their voice is not heard.  Their line has gone out through all the earth, and their utterances to the end of the world.  As you begin this new year, 2022, think about how God speaks, God calls out to each of us. . .I’m here, I made all of this. . .I did it for you.  Our thoughts should lead us to God.
